5. How about when you're not on the computer?
What's that mean? ;) Okay, I read, pet my cats and rabbit, and try to exercise a little. I'm trying to take my dog for walks (as opposed to leaving it for my parents to do, not as opposed to letting her suffer walkless) more often. I also knit a lot, but usually I'm on the computer while I'm doing that, either listening to podcasts or reading blogs.

Fascinated question: how do you knit while reading blogs? Wouldn't scrolling down get in the way kinda?

It does, which is very annoying. I try to get as much text on the screen as possible each time I scroll. I don't knit anything complicated while I'm reading, usually just plain stockinette, garter, or ribbing, so there's no (or very little) counting and I can drop the right needle to get the mouse any time. Someday I will have a bigger monitor and won't have to drop the knitting as often!

You should totally get one of those monitors that you can rotate into portrait styles to give it as much up-down space as possible!

Oh, I'm so with you there. I crochet while watching tv or reading online, so I can totally understand the frustrations of having to lose your tension/momentum in order to scroll (it doesn't help that I read on my netbook). And aww! I think we need more piccies of your pets. :-)

Also, I am impressed by your ability to knit and read things online at the same time. Though I do wish you can get a bigger monitor soon so you don't have to scroll as often.

I have four cats! Snowy, a big fat old cat with some Siamese markings (and he has a cold right now so he is extra pathetic); Ophelia, my little baby (I raised her and her siblings from a week old), who is all black except for a white spot on her tummy; Razzle, little and skinny, I raised her and her sister from six weeks old; and Tuula, the evil one, who is compact and likes to bite me. There's also Harri, black and white, who is actually crazy and not allowed in the house, but we feed him on the porch and there's a little house for him. The bunny is Fiver and the dog is Cyleigh.

I love your description of Tuula. And you've raised cats yourself? I am slightly envious. (Both mum and dad have raised kittens, but I was two or three at the time.) Was Harri always crazy?

Cyleigh is an incredibly pretty name. ^-^ What kind of dog is she? (Also I second the notion of pet pictures. ^-^)

Actually, all of our cats were raised in our house. I was too young to do much with Snowy (and his brothers), and I was at college when we got Tuula, so my mom did most of the work for those two. Snowy and his brothers were born in his garage; Ophelia and her siblings were born in our friends' shed (said friends are all allergic to cats and I couldn't resist week-old kittens); Razzle and her sister Dazzle were fosters from the shelter; Tuula was rescued from the shelter lobby before she actually made it into their system XD Harri is again the exception, because he was full-grown when he showed up on our porch. As far as we know he was always crazy. He was clearly not properly socialized like the rest of our cats.

Cyleigh is just pronounced like Kylee, but while we liked the name, my real name starts with K and my mom keeps records by first initial, so she didn't like that... and Cylee just didn't look right. I'll definitely try to get a picture of her because she's gorgeous. She's a mutt with long, brindle (mixed black and brown) fur. She looks most like a border collie but doesn't act like one.

*low whistle* That is so amazing... ^-^ (There are people who can resist week-old kittens? I'm impressed.) I'm glad Harri had a family that looks after him despite his craziness. ^-^

Mmm. I can see why you changed it, yes. I still think it's a lovely name both spelling and pronunciation. And she sounds absolutely gorgeous indeed! Border collie! ^-^
