Words, words

So, uh, I'm pretty sure I've figured out how to use Page Buoy and it's not actually useful for keeping track of goals--at least, for me. I suppose it is for other people. Apologies to those in my group who may have been puzzled or inconvenienced by the group message I sent out. I don't expect to be using the site anymore.

But! I found something actually useful! [community profile] words_count! It seems to be focused on weekly writing goals (which is what I'm using, or at least trying out, right now) and they keep track for you. That is, you tell them your goal, you tell them how many words you wrote at the end of each day, and then they tally it up at the end of the week and post what everybody did and whether they achieved their goals. It's math and accountability! I think they include editing goals, as well, or at least they encourage you to include that information if you did any. I hope some people will join me there.

Oh, this looks interesting, I may have to follow your lead. I've been looking for something to hold me accountable and this might actually work out. Thanks for the heads up! <3

What specifically turned you off of Page Buoy? I spent a little while this weekend looking over it, but didn't have time to really get a feel for how everything worked.

I don't think Page Buoy is going to work for me either. The notifications turned me off, then once I disabled them and really started looking around the site, it just didn't really have anything to offer me that I don't already do for myself (I'm already pretty self-accountable for my work).

Ah, well. It was worth a look! ^_^
