One Card Draw

The one card draw is now closed! Thanks to everyone who stopped by!

Welcome to Clare-Dragonfly's one card Tarot draw!

I've been studying the Tarot on and off for, oh, the last fourteen years. Now I'm back to it, I remember how much I love it, and I want more practice. In particular, I want more practice reading for people besides myself!

To receive a card, all you need to do is leave a comment. Or, if you'd prefer more privacy, you can PM me via Dreamwidth or email me at gwraig [dot] annwn at gmail. If you include a specific question, the card will likely be easier to interpret, but it's not necessary.

When I respond with your card and my interpretation, I would really appreciate any feedback you have, so that I can improve my reading!

You can choose among these three decks, the ones I am most comfortable with:
- The Hanson-Roberts Tarot (a traditional Rider-Waite-style deck with soft colored pencil illustrations)
- The Shadowscapes Tarot (less traditional but still following the same style, this deck has fantasy-inspired watercolor illustrations; it does not use reversals)
- The Incidental Tarot (the least traditional of my decks; it uses different suits, and all of the court cards as well as many of the Major Arcana have different names)

If you can't or don't want to decide, I am happy to pick a deck for you.

Even though I'm doing this mainly for practice and not to make money, I will accept donations! If you donate $5 or more, I will draw two more cards to clarify your reading. If you want to donate more or would like a larger reading, contact me privately using either of the methods mentioned above and we can work something out.

Also, I have a special link incentive! If you boost the signal by posting a link to this somewhere else (and please tell me in your comment if you do), I will draw a card for you from the Fantod Pack, Edward Gorey's humorous take on the Tarot. But beware--the Fantod likes to predict truly horrible things!

I may not be able to get to requests immediately, but I promise I will draw your card within 12 hours of receiving your request.

This offer will be open until approximately 6 PM EST Saturday, February 2. Anyone who comments or contacts me before I close the offer will have a card drawn for them.

I would love a card on the topic of creative endeavors. Inspiration, advice, insight, whatever I need most.

Edit: The Incidental Tarot, please.

Also, I tweeted!

Me, please? Incidental Tarot, as I haven't heard of that one and I'm interested.

Also, I pimped on my journal. :D Would love to see what misery awaits me. XD

Actually, I've been dealing with a number of blocks--some internal, some external--for about a year, so this makes me feel better. Thank you.

I'd love a one card on spiritual matters. What should I be focusing on? Whichever deck that's at hand. :)

Wow!

Actually, the tunnel leading into a labyrinth really feels metaphorically accurate. Scary, irrational, a leap of faith leading from this world and letting me immerse myself into other worlds, other stories.

I suppose The Tunnel is a perfect symbol (albeit depicted in reverse) for the blank screen where a story will happen, or the blank canvass where a painting will grow.

This is great inspiration/instruction. Thank you.

Tarot has always been like that for me. Totally unlikely readings during role playing games come true, even.

One for us, as a matter of general guidance, from the Shadowscapes or Incidental decks, please. The imagery can sometimes be add helpful as the advice.
sylvaine: Dark-haired person with black eyes & white pupils. ([gen:pag] into dreams)

I'd like a card, please! From a deck of your choice.

I also signal-boosted in my journal. :)

I'd like a card, please - from Hanson-Roberts or Incidental. I am having confusion about a job offer, and whether I am going to cope with this kind of work, whether it's just nerves, etc. I'd appreciate advice.

Oooh. I'd love a card, please? :) From Hanson-Roberts, if it's not too much trouble?

Thank you!

We'd like a card from the Shadowscapes Tarot, please. Maybe about our living situation? (tl;dr: We're moving from Ohio to Missouri, we don't know when, we don't know where we'll be living, we're going insane because of that. -laughs-)

(That looks like such a gorgeous deck. It's on our list of "decks to get eventually". XD)

Hmmm, interesting. I will ponder this.

Oh noes, vapors! (I actually do use elevators a lot at work and sometimes have irrational fears of the thing falling because I've seen too many movies!) Also, loss of ears seems pretty serious! XD

Thank you!

I'd like a single card, please. Hanson-Roberts. I'm not sure what to ask about. Thank you!
