March One Card Draw

Welcome to Clare-Dragonfly's one card Tarot draw!

I've been studying the Tarot on and off for, oh, the last fourteen years. Now I'm back to it, I remember how much I love it, and I want more practice. In particular, I want more practice reading for people besides myself!

To receive a card, all you need to do is leave a comment. Or, if you'd prefer more privacy, you can PM me via Dreamwidth or email me at gwraig [dot] annwn at gmail. If you include a specific question, the card will likely be easier to interpret, but it's not necessary.

When I respond with your card and my interpretation, I would really appreciate any feedback you have, so that I can improve my reading!

You can choose among these three decks, the ones I am most comfortable with:
- The Hanson-Roberts Tarot (a traditional Rider-Waite-style deck with soft colored pencil illustrations)
- The Shadowscapes Tarot (less traditional but still following the same style, this deck has fantasy-inspired watercolor illustrations; it does not use reversals)
- The Incidental Tarot (the least traditional of my decks; it uses different suits, and all of the court cards as well as many of the Major Arcana have different names)

If you can't or don't want to decide, I am happy to pick a deck for you.

Even though I'm doing this mainly for practice and not to make money, I will accept donations! If you donate $5 or more, I will draw two more cards to clarify your reading. If you want to donate more or would like a larger reading, contact me privately using either of the methods mentioned above and we can work something out.

Also, I have a special link incentive! If you boost the signal by posting a link to this somewhere else (and please tell me in your comment if you do), I will draw a card for you from the Fantod Pack, Edward Gorey's humorous take on the Tarot. But beware--the Fantod likes to predict truly horrible things!

I may not be able to get to requests immediately, but I promise I will draw your card within 12 hours of receiving your request.

Oh, dear! Hmm, it could be encouraging, actually. From what I understand, UUs are really not into the concept of dogma, which is a big part of the Cathedral. Maybe it's just reflecting your situation by turning that on its head.

She reaches for the butterflies, though, as if wishing she could fly away from them--despite the fact that she has wings of her own. You may be focused on what you don't have, or are choosing not to take advantage of, despite the abundance surrounding you. Examine your choices to be sure you're making the one that is right for you, and if you are, dive in without regrets.

Your card is the Nine of Cups, reversed. This card shows a proud and prosperous craftsman standing in front of a display of his cups. When I turn it right-side-up, though, he looks a bit strained. Perhaps you're focusing too much on outward appearances--don't let other people's judgments constrain you. If you're proud of what you've created, let that be enough.

Your Fantod card is the Bundle. Beware of inadequate drainage, train accidents, false friends, and regrets, especially on Wednesdays!

He's looking at you, though, and the dragon is looking elsewhere. Danger may be approaching, but don't fear--you don't even need to protect yourself, as it's all taken care of. Focus on abundance and keeping yourself connected to the natural world.

I chose the Hanson-Roberts Tarot, and your card is the Four of Rods. This card depicts two women decorating for a festival, with a castle in the background. There is something good in your future--or even if there isn't, preparing as though what you hope for will definitely come to pass may be advantageous. If nothing else, it will make you feel good and maybe make your environment more beautiful. And maybe spring will be here soon...
