Prompt: Thimbleful Thursday: kangaroo court
Notes: Apparently I'm on a "super creepy-looking faeries" kick.
"You can't do this to me," he gasped, hanging between the hands of the two fiends who held him, unable to reach the ground with his feet.
He looked terrible--bright red blood dripped from cuts on his face, arms, and legs; his eyes were black pools like wells of ink. The skin around his mouth was gray and his torso was caved in, thinner than any human should ever be, ribs missing.
But that was how he always looked. His guilt had left no evidence in his flesh.
"I can and I will," Belara said, folding her arms across her chest.
"I've done nothing wrong," he cried, attempting now to struggle out of the fiends' grip. "This is unjust!"
"This is justice," Belara said.
"The king--"
She nodded to the fiends.
They tore him apart. Siffyd collected one of the pieces; she bore it far away.
Feloc had been busy digging a pit. He and Belara brought the other piece to the pit and buried it deep. He would never trouble them again.
She said to Feloc, "The king need never know."
He nodded, his mouth opening in a vulpine grin.
