I managed to get a tiny bit of bread wedged under my thumbnail, shoving back into the nail bed, so that the nail is separated just a small amount from the skin. This has happened before, though not with bread. Right now it doesn't hurt, and I'm hoping that it will continue to not hurt...

I scraped at it (carefully) with a fingernail, and I got most of the bread out, but that separated bit is still separated. And it'll stay there for a while, if my memories of getting other things stuck there are anything to go by.
