Notes: This is a lot shorter than I expected it to be! It's kind of an introduction to a Wasteland sub-setting which, as you might guess from some of the content, is something of a religious cult.
The ceremony was over, and Tira didn’t think she could be happier. She and her spouses ran down the road arm-in-arm—her husband, Alik, on her left arm, and her cousin Sisa on her right arm, and Sisa’s new husband, Nem, on the end. It was clumsy and funny and none of them could stop laughing, even as their friends and family and everyone else in the town cheered and threw flower petals at them, urging them on to their new life.
Home. Home for the four of them. And soon, for their children as well.( Read more... )
