Hurricane Sandy!

Hello lovely friends! Just thought I'd post to let you all know that while I am in the path of Hurricane Sandy, I'm fine at least for now. So far we're having a storm, but we've had worse winds in thunderstorms, so I'm sure the real hurricane isn't here yet. We still have power, obviously, though apparently losing it is likely, so I'm glad I charged up my Kindle (not that I don't also have plenty of paper books to read).

We tried to get the outdoor cat to come inside for the storm, but he was having none of it. I think he'll be okay. He has more places to hide than we even know about.

I had to go to the doctor this morning to get blood drawn to check my iron levels (I've been close to anemic in the past, so they just want to check it regularly). I had to rush to get in early because they were closing early, and they gave me a flu shot too, so that was all kinds of not fun, but at least I'm back home now.

I hope everyone else in Sandy's path has a safe place to be, and I'll talk to you all when the storm is past!
