Summary: When Artona leaves the planet Halos for the backwater Caila, she expects to settle into a nice, quiet life with her fiancé, Mark. But she arrives to the startling discovery that Mark is not just an ordinary man--he's the Lord of Caila, the hereditary and elected ruler of the entire nation. And now she's being pulled into politics along with him, which would be bad enough if their political views were the same. She loves him, but this isn't the life she was looking for, and now she'll have to make a choice.
