HabitRPG is cool. I think I heard about it through a couple of different friends. I signed up several days ago and have been having a blast since. It's possible that I've wasted a little too much time playing with tasks, but it has also made me improve things. Basically, you give yourself tasks of various kinds, and you get experience points for doing what you're supposed to and lose hit points for not doing so. You also get gold that you can spend on your own external rewards or in-game rewards. I'm not even that much of an RPGer but the whole getting experience points and leveling up and stuff is addicting. I'm already level 4!
Are any of my other friends on there? (
anke, I saw you!) We should form a party!
aldersprig also pointed me to this 2014 reading bingo and I was delighted. I'm aiming for a blackout on the regular card and at least a line on the YA card (despite the fact that I mostly read YA, that one seems harder). I have plans for almost all the squares, but I welcome recommendations for "a book your friend loves" and "a best-selling book"!
ETA: Also,
bigbang_mixup is open for signups! This is a really cool Big Bang challenge that I've participated in twice now as an author. How it works is that mixers create music mixes, which authors then choose from and write a story based on. Artists also choose stories and create visual art. This year I'm signing up as both a mixer and an author. I've already started working on my mix. It's femslashy!
