Maggie wasn’t allowed to spend the night at anyone’s house anymore, but she could still hang out after school—as long as her mom didn’t catch her hanging out. Johanna and Claudia were probably not the kinds of people Maggie’s mom wanted her hanging out with. They wore all black and sometimes smoked cigarettes.
