clare_dragonfly: A red rose laying on an open book, text: read a book (Reading: read a book)
I'm now on track for 100 books a year, according to Goodreads!

I'm also aiming, informally, to read more books by nonwhite authors this year. Considering that last year I read six by only three different authors, and this year I'm already up to seven by four authors, I'm doing pretty well! I do notice that both last year and this year the majority of books by nonwhite authors are graphic novels (and I haven't read any graphic novels by white authors); I think that's partly due to the excellent manga and comics sections in my new local library, but it might also be due to comics being quicker for me to get through. I'll work on that.

ETA: Another reason is that my husband keeps recommending manga to me...
