37. Sleep by Infinite Ideas - ***
38. Allegiant by Veronica Roth - ***
39. The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson - *****
40. Mythology by Edith Hamilton - *** 1/2
41. Across a Star-Swept Sea by Diana Peterfreund - **** 1/2

Huh. It sure felt like I read a lot of books in June. Well, some of them were long.

3 books this month counted toward the reading bingo. Allegiant fills square B1, "a book with more than 500 pages"; The Haunting of Hill House fills square N1, "a book that became a movie"; Mythology fills square I1, "a forgotten classic".

I wrote 34,289 words in June, which I believe is my best writing month so far this year. ::checks:: I'm wrong: January was better, but only by about 5k words, and I'm pretty sure I had more time then (I had snow days off from work, whereas in June I worked extra hours). Also, of course, my goals were new and exciting. I really feel that counting my work by time, rather than words, is working well for me--especially my goal of working for at least 1/2 hour a day.

I'm glad the new approach to your writing is working for you. I tend to find that working to an amount of time rather than an amount of words works better for me, too.
