December books -- and 2017

Goodreads says I read 100 books in 2016, and I'm not sure where the discrepancy comes from. I may not have listed all my Harry Potter rereads on my text list.
93. The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K. Le Guin - *****
94. Abominable Snowmen: Legend Come to Life by Ivan T. Sanderson - DNF
95. Giant Days, Vol. 3 by John Allison - *****
96. Cold Magic by Kate Elliot - ***
For 2017 reading, I have two goals... or, well, one goal and a game!
In 2017, I'm determined to finish all the series that I've started and would like to continue or finish, but that I haven't yet. Some of them are short series that I just haven't gotten around to putting on hold at the library; some are long series that are a bit daunting, and some are still being added to. For those, of course, I'll count them as finished when I catch up to current publication.
Here's the list:
Hannibal series by Thomas Harris
Vorkosigan Saga by Lois McMaster Bujold
Elderlings series by Robin Hobb
The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
Legend trilogy by Marie Lu
MaddAddam trilogy by Margaret Atwood
I'll try to post when I've finished a series. The last two just have one book each left, so it shouldn't take too long.
And to help encourage me to read the series books and books I already own, there's
shanaqui's Game of Books!
The basic idea of this game is, instead of trying to just get numbers by reading short books or pushing to read books that might be interesting, you assign different points values based on length, acquisition, and enjoyment, and aim for a certain number of points every month. I've also added points for continuing and finishing series. My spreadsheet is here if you want to follow my progress! I've set a goal of 25 points a month, which I think is a stretch, so we'll see how I do.
If nothing else, I fully intend to read some darn good books in 2017!
I also have a Goodreads goal of 100 books set, but that's mostly just so Goodreads stops bugging me about setting a goal. Oh, and it would be really nice to get my paper TBR below 30 books at the end of the year, because I keep getting close but not quite. That's not an official goal, though.
